In the far North of our planet, between Eurasia and North America lies the Arctic ocean. Of the four oceans that make up the oceans of the Earth, this is the smallest. Its area is 14,75 million square km, maximum depth - 5572 m (Greenland sea).

It borders the Arctic ocean with the Atlantic (via the Danish and Denisov Straits and the Norwegian sea), with the Pacific ocean through the Bering Strait.
